A quick trip back home to visit family and friends and most of all, to meet the cutest pair of twins ever!! 18 Months ago my only nephew became the father of twin boys and up till now I had to be satisfied with only enjoying their cuteness on social media posts. The actual plan was to visit Chile for a 4 week road trip during October, but since my passport expires in February, this could not happen. When entering the South American countries, one's passport must be valid for at least another 6 months!! I already applied for a new passport here in The Hague, but getting a new South African passport from here takes 20 tot 30 weeks!! Unbelievable but true!!
The above changed our plans and we decided to go to my country of birth now in stead of early next year. The trip included visits to Cape Town, Jeffery's Bay, Klipplaat, The Daniell Cheetah Sanctuary, Glentana and the wonderfull 4-day Chokka Trail hike.
