Chokka Trail Day 3. Through an indigenous coastal forest and along the beach to Cape St Francis

Day 3.  More dunes!  Gathering shells and an introduction to bombs!

After a good breakfast of all things nice and eggs which ever way you desire, we set off for some more dune fun!

Surrounded by the rest of the happy hiker crowd!  Paul, Lisa, Erika, David, Maarten, Juanita, Madeleine and Esti and the Dune Ridge manager at the back.

Some more dunes

No scientific research has been done to investigate what made dune climbing so very hard on day 3, but a few ideas have popped up in the group.....  such as too much giggling,  wine tasting the night before, or just a state of  'having lost it all'  aka  Allesverloren.

Never has a dune been this steep!
And if climbing gets too hard, there's always leopard crawling ....

And then we were done with the dunes!!

With Esti, to say hi to our mutual friend back in Holland.
BFFE!

More prettiness!

A different kind of lunch break!!

Cape St Francis Resort, our final destination on day 3

And again we spent the night in great comfort!  This time at the Cape St Francis Resort.  We enjoyed a good evening meal and afterwards had lots more fun across the road at the Rock Lily Bar where we got a thorough introduction to, among other things, Jägerbombs!

But, let just say .......What happened at the Rock Lily Bar stays at the Rock Lily Bar!

Back to where it all started
