Day 3. More dunes! Gathering shells and an introduction to bombs!
After a good breakfast of all things nice and eggs which ever way you desire, we set off for some more dune fun!
| Surrounded by the rest of the happy hiker crowd! Paul, Lisa, Erika, David, Maarten, Juanita, Madeleine and Esti and the Dune Ridge manager at the back. |
| Wind farm |
| Some more dunes |
No scientific research has been done to investigate what made dune climbing so very hard on day 3, but a few ideas have popped up in the group..... such as too much giggling, wine tasting the night before, or just a state of 'having lost it all' aka Allesverloren.
| Never has a dune been this steep! |
| And if climbing gets too hard, there's always leopard crawling .... |
And then we were done with the dunes!!
| With Esti, to say hi to our mutual friend back in Holland. |
| BFFE! |
| More prettiness! |
| A different kind of lunch break!! |
| No comment!! |
| Blow hole |
| Seal Point Lighthouse |
| Cape St Francis Resort, our final destination on day 3 |
And again we spent the night in great comfort! This time at the Cape St Francis Resort. We enjoyed a good evening meal and afterwards had lots more fun across the road at the Rock Lily Bar where we got a thorough introduction to, among other things, Jägerbombs!
